  • What qualifications do I need to attend Bournemouth Montessori Centre?

    Students do not need any formal qualifications to join a course.

  • Do I need a Criminal Convictions check? (DBS)

    For all students undertaking their professional placement in England or Wales a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required as it is for anyone working with children.

  • Can the Centre help me find accommodation?

    Bournemouth Montessori Centre is happy to advise a student from out of the area where accommodation can be found and give support.

  • Will I have to arrange my own placements / work experience?

    Bournemouth Montessori Centre will arrange this on your behalf. Placements are local and have firm links with the Centre.

  • Is there any support for payment of fees?

    Students can also apply for financial support from BMC. Merit will be given for the student's ability to undertake and complete the course; dedication to the aims of the course and personal circumstances.  The BMC Board of Directors will meet to consider all applications. The student will be informed in writing of the outcome of their application.

  • Where can I work when I graduate?

    Our students are extremely employable - past students have become Montessori teachers; started Montessori schools of their own; gone abroad to teach; gone abroad to nanny; become nannies in the UK; have volunteered in third world 

    countries or put their Montessori knowledge to good use in their chosen profession. Please check our 'Jobs' page for current roles available. 

  • Will I get help to find a job?

    There are always positions available in the local area and further afield. Some vacancies are available for students in training.
